The Indo-German
Water network aims to:
·
provide water supply and wastewater
disposal for humans and industrial purpose regarding to people’s
health, economical development and environmental protection.
·
integrate Indian and German
know-how in these areas and adapt German solutions to the special
needs of Indian partners.
·
identify potential fields for
co-operations and areas for joint research activities between partners
in India.
·
establish Indo-German projects in the field
of communal and industrial water supply and wastewater disposal work.
We are very
glad to invite you to our workshop in Bangalore, 24-25 April 2009 at Karnataka State
Pollution Control Board or in Chennai,
28-30 April 2009 at the CES Anna University. The workshops
are designed as a contact and
discussion platform between potential Indian partners and the INDO-GERMAN
WATER network in order to set up new bilateral co-operations.
We therefore intent to present the capabilities and existing experiences
of the INDO-GERMAN WATER network at the workshop and are very much looking
forward to a following active discussion
among all participants and/or a presentation
of your own activities/expertise and on the possibilities for a future co-operation
between your organization and the INDO-GERMAN WATER network.
We would be
glad to welcome you at the workshop that is free of participant fee! If

special working areas of the INDO-GERMAN WATER NETWORK could among others

Design of water and wastewater systems

Rehabilitation of water and
wastewater systems
·
Computer simulation of urban
drainage systems (e.g. for design purposes or to prevent flooding in
settlement areas)
·
Environmental technologies and sustainable development
·
Water recycling
and reuse
·
Treatment of water for potable use and wastewater treatment
·
Technical training and knowledge transfer
Another point of
interest is the examination of the possibilities to obtain financial
support for joint-projects from international organizations, Indian
institutions/GoI or German partners and a discussion of your experiences regarding
local procurement directives, the procurement processes and the involved
institutions of public tenders in India.
